Kota, October 5: In view of Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath, the Railways will operate a weekly festival special train between Kolkata and Pratap Nagar (Gujarat) to handle the expected festive rush and provide passengers with additional travel options.
According to Kota Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Jain, the Kolkata–Pratap Nagar Weekly Festival Special will operate from October 13 to November 24, while the return service from Pratap Nagar to Kolkata will run from October 15 to November 26. Seven trips will be operated in each direction.
Key Schedule
Train No. 03109 Kolkata–Pratap Nagar Festival Special will depart from Kolkata at 8:00 am every Tuesday. It will reach Prayagraj at 11:15 pm the same day and Kota at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, before arriving at Pratap Nagar at 11:40 pm.
The train will have General, Sleeper and 3rd AC coaches. Booking from Kolkata has already started through PRS counters and IRCTC, while booking from Pratap Nagar will open shortly.
The special service is expected to benefit passengers travelling between West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat during the festive season.
