Kota, October 6: Kota is set to witness a vibrant evening of Gujarati culture, music and dance with a grand Garba and Dandiya festival to be organised on October 16 at the Shri Teja Mandir Trust in Talwandi.
The event is being jointly organised by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) Women’s Wing, Kota, Resonance, and Shri Teja Mandir Trust, Kota Division. The programme will begin at 7 pm at Shri Teja Mandir Trust, Jat Samaj, Sector B, Commerce College Road, Talwandi.
This year, the organisers have given the festival a special focus on women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship, family participation and social unity. Women entrepreneurs from different sectors, social organisations, women’s groups and kitty groups have been invited to participate.
The festival will provide women entrepreneurs with an opportunity to connect, interact and build professional networks through cultural participation. The organisers said the initiative aims to promote women-led businesses and strengthen cooperation among women entrepreneurs in Kota.
A special Gujarati cultural presentation by the CAIT Women’s Wing will be one of the major attractions of the evening. Participants underwent three days of special training under the guidance of Kavita Bafna, while Himali Jain conducted preparations and training for the Gujarati cultural performance.
Bharat Verma, Vigilance Head of Resonance, and Neelam Vijayvargiya, President of CAIT Women’s Wing, Kota, said the event has been planned as a completely family-oriented celebration. Children, youth, women and men from different age groups are expected to participate in Garba and Dandiya. Representatives of various social organisations and prominent citizens of the city will also attend.
The organisers said Garba represents Indian culture, collective celebration and social harmony. The festival is therefore being presented as a platform to celebrate Kota’s women, particularly those engaged in entrepreneurship.

In a special initiative, the food stalls at the festival will be operated by women entrepreneurs associated with the CAIT Women’s Wing, providing them an opportunity to showcase their products and businesses.
