Kota, October 7: In view of the Panchayat General Elections-2026, the District Election Officer has clarified the procedure for seeking exemption from election duty on health grounds.
Officials and employees assigned election duties who seek relief citing health-related reasons will be required to undergo a medical examination by a designated Medical Board. The decision regarding exemption from election duty will be taken only on the basis of the Medical Board’s report.
The District Election Officer has directed the constitution of a Medical Board at Maharav Bhim Singh Hospital, Kota, for this purpose. The Board will examine the health condition of applicants seeking exemption and submit its report to the concerned authorities.
Based on the Medical Board’s report, appropriate action will be taken on applications submitted for relief from election duty on medical grounds.
The District Election Officer clarified that merely submitting an application citing health problems will not be sufficient for exemption from election duty. Employees and officials who have genuine health issues will have to undergo the prescribed medical examination.
The final decision regarding any exemption or relief from election duty will be taken only through the prescribed procedure and on the basis of the Medical Board’s assessment.
